The introduction of me and this webseite

Make unremarkable things visible. Things one cannot see. Now that is what I call a sick slogan.

For those of you who do not know me: I’m Dennis Graeser, a passionate amateur photographer from Wiesbaden, Germany. I love taking images from whatever that crosses my way, especially from small and unremarkable things that normally wouldn’t get special attention at all.
Macro photography impressed me early on. Having that ability to reveal new and subtle details made every photo tour a real discovery tour.
But I like clean, simple abstraction and the aspect of minimalism in my images as well.
Creative portraits of people have also found their path into my heart over time. Revealing those inconspicuous details’s a gorgeous pleasure.
Especially when you combine such portraits with exciting composings.

But do not you get me wrong. I’m well aware of the fact that I’m by no means a popular internet figure or a good photographer. I don’t claim that my pictures are great, neither technically or artistically. But hell, why not share some of them anyways.
In case you’re interested in how I came to photography in the first place, please don’t hesitate to read this article. Back in the days, I decided to create an account on 500px.com to post pictures online. Over the time I have tried several platforms and added more social media.
But for me it turned out that too many platforms at the same time were way too consuming.
I could not provide for them all. Besides, I always encountered several limitations.
Consequently, I moved from all those platforms to this website only!!
And I have already published over a hundred articles on that website.
Through this approach I can decide independently how to arrange and design contents. The website is intended to be more than just another portfolio of images: I want to connect texts with images. I wanna write about the creation or about anecdotes connected to them.
I also wanna share some inspiring messages with you and the world.

For example, do you know that I moved my whole workflow to Linux?

The stories section is the very heart of the website. There I talk about pictures and topics that are linked to them. That’s done through posts as you know from a classical blog.
That would be the place where my aforementioned writing comes to bear. But of course that website is not only about writing. It’s about pictures.
For those of you who don’t want to read such texts, there’s also a section where only pictures and nothing else is shown. Because the words of a wise man still counts:
There are more than a thousand words and more hidden in a picture.
