The last weeks have been quite insane and the world is still in a particular state of exception. Curfews were imposed, events were cancelled. Public life has been reduced to a minimum.
A lot of people had the opportunity to work from home, some had lost their employment.
No wonder that folks go for long walks these days. Not to mention bikes, scooters, inline skates and other methods of locomotion.
There are even real outdoor family trips again. Who would have thought. I told you: These are insane times today!
Referring to the above, you might say loco-loco as well.
Have you noticed that them birds are showing themselves too? They are apparently not the only ones who’re attracted to the warm sunbeams of spring.
But what else can one do? Possibilities seem to be limited all of a sudden. One leisure activity became more important during this time:
Good old television.
What used to be the favorite after-hours activity is now more than ever moving into many people’s midst. That although we spend enough time in front of the flicker box without Corona: In Germany, it is 3.5 hours a day on average.
Where some simply let themselves be drizzled after a tough day, others cannot get away from it altogether. Just a few use television intentionally for a limited time to obtain information.
Similar to the smartphone or the Internet, we are powerless and under the spell. But I guess that’s the way it is: People all want to be kept entertained.
