Long time no see, bro! The picture I brought with me today was made during the race weekend in Schotten where the 32nd Int. Schottenring Historic Grand Prix occurred.
It was a great opportunity to test my new camera, the Ricoh GRIIIX. I wanted to know how the GR is doing in taking pictures from fast moving objects. So I took all my camera gear and went to the race track.
It was a hot and sunny day in August, smell of gasoline in the air, heavy deep motor sounds in my ears. During the break there was a stuntshow on the track where I took this nice shot. The autofocus of the GRIIIX did a great job. I am surprised that the Ricoh is such a small powerhouse.
More than 80% of the images I took were sharp, in my opinion a great overall ratio for a camera in this segment.
I decided to make the GR my primary camera. It’s so lightweight and I am missing nothing compared to other camera brands.
