The artist and street photographer Siegfried Hansen said in an interview that he has a wide variety of triggers, things that immediately catch his attention and that he’d like to include in his photos as a result.
In the case of Siegfried, these are among other things gloves. Hundreds of them are scattered around Hamburg, especially during the cold season.
For him gloves tell a story, add drama to his images.
His triggers are gloves. For me those seem to be traffic signs, doors and windows, straight lines of all kind.
Oh, and radio masts, of course.
Obviously, they emit special fascination towards me.
Obviously, I am supposed to be worried at that point.
