Golden colours of autumn

Oh boy, what’s been going on lately? Actually, I had planned a total of three posts for the month of November. Now the time has passed, the month is over and no posts were published at all.
Well, I guess life got in the way.
Buckle up, friends! Because now in December, we have some catching up to do! Let’s start, even if long overdue, to give a proper farewell to autumn.
In the introduction section it was pointed out already: I’m well aware of the fact that I’m by no means a good photographer. I don’t claim that my pictures are great, neither technically nor artistically.
Although, in most cases, objectively speaking, of course they are. Hah! Clears throat.
Just kidding. Them attached images are a great example of what I mean: When you zoom in a bit and have a closer look, you’ll notice that the sharpness isn’t right, and there is a certain amount of noise and artifacts in the darker areas. Colors are also kind of twisted.
But hell, why not share them anyways? Does photography always have to be perfect? I have put it that way, or something like that, in my first article here on the website.

Photographers nowadays tend to always evaluate the 100% view of a picture. In our technical lingo, we call this pixel peeping. With higher resolution and better cameras, this is an increasingly unnecessary and time wasting habit for us.
One might define this a guilty pleasure of photographers.
In the end, the viewer decides whether a picture is good or not, and there are other aspects.
Who doesn’t know that phenomenon: Quick and spontaneous snapshots preserve valuable memories in most cases. And it is precisely this snapshots that we look at again and again.
But so be it. A few words about the images: When I look at them, I immediately associate deep autumn as it can not be more autumnal. The colors, previously described as twisted, show the golden autumn. So, regardless of the fact that they might have technical flaws, they tell a story.
Stories, associations. That’s what breathes life into them.
